We get back to the kitchens and this time we carry a glass jar fill of essences. This recipe will take you to exotic places that hide sweet and salty flavours in such a successful combination that stimulate the palate with a perfect fusion.
With our organic product as main character and our new catalogue: dried prunes from the French brand Lou Prunel, specialist in organic products. This prunes comes from Agen, a French city located in Lot and Garona department, in the Nueva Aquinta region, and its presence will bring an awesome new flavour and it will delight your guests.
- 300g rice
- 250g chicken breast
- 100g organic prunes
- 200g onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- A pinch of nutmeg
- A pinch of salt
- A table spoon of cinnamon
- A large table spoon of honey
- 1 wooden spoon
- 1 Blender
- 1 Frying pan
- 1 Cooking pot
Tiempo: 1 hour 30 minutos
Step 1 – Cooking the start
To begin with pour the rice in the cooking pot, adding some oil and the clove of chopped garlic. Fry it a bit before adding some water to boil it. The first magic touch of this recipe is that we will add a full table spoon of cinnamon and a pinch of black pepper.
Step 2 – Slice, chop, and add
Apart from that, chop the onion finely and add it to the frying pan. When it is brown ,add our organic prunes chopped in pieces and sprinkle the nutmeg. Meanwhile slice the chicken breast in strips or pieces as you wish, and wait until the prunes release their juice.
Step 3 – The chicken breast
Then, when we observe that prunes have given us all their essence, add salt to the sliced chicken breast and put it into the frying pan.
Step 4 – Our two treasures meet.
When the stir- fry is ready and the cinnamon rice is boiled, pour the rice to the frying pan. Mix it properly and add a little more salt if you wish.
Step 5 – The final touch
Once it´s all well mixed, place it into a glass tray or a big plate. Finally add a good amount of honey (or to the taste, as you like) and serve it.
