RICE PUDDING (with organic pistachio)

This time we bring you an easy and famous recipe. Who has not ever had a tasty rice pudding to end a great meal? Who has never given himself to a nocturnal treat on the sofa watching a film? However we want to give it a different touch adding to the rice pudding one of our star product, the natural organic pistachio (without shell).

Ingredients (6 servings)

  • 750 g whole milk
  • 100 g bomba rice
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cinnamon bark
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla flavouring
  • 30 g water
  • 50 g whipping cream
  • 130 g sugar
  • 20 g butter
  • 50 g chopped pistachio to sprinkle

Utensils:

  • Bowl
  • Pot / Thermomix

Time: 50 minutes

 

Preparation:

Step 1: We begin at the end

Our organic pistachio is the distinctive touch in this recipe. Its clean processing, sun-drying and manufacturing with organic salt gives this product a special taste that you cannot miss, mixed with this delicious dessert or with other recipes that we will show you.

To begging with we are going to make the sprinkle that we will add to the rice pudding. To make this, chop the 50 g organic pistachio in the blender or Thermomix. This will make the dessert look excellent.

Step 2: First mixture

Add to a cooking pot or thermomix (whatever you have) the milk, rice and a pinch of salt, also the cinnamon bark. In the first instance (cooking pot) heat everything medium heat during 30 minutes, stirring from time to time. If you want you can fry the rice with olive oil before you add the other products. In the second instance, the Thermomix give us all the instructions in an easy way: put the butterfly whisk in the knife, add the ingredients and program it 35 minutes, 90º and speed 1.

Step 3: Party in the bowl

While the rice is cooking in the pot or Thermomix, we add to a different bowl a little water, the cornstarch and the vanilla flavouring. After mixing the ingredients add them to the pot or Thermomix.

Step 4: The final bubbling

Once the rice and milk are cooked, add the rest of the ingredients: whipping cream, sugar and butter. Stir it in the pot during 10 minutes more. Otherwise, if you are cooking in the Thermomix program it this way: 7 minutes, 90º and speed 1.

Once you have done this 4 step, the rice pudding is done. Allow the rice pudding to cool and it is ready to serve. But not before sprinkling the chopped pistachio. Look how nice it looks.

I can assure you that if it looks nice it tastes even yummier. The natural touch of the organic pistachios mixed with the rice pudding flavour is such a discovery.
