BANANA AND NUTS SPONGE CAKE

Nuts can be used in a lot of different dishes throughout cooking. Specially in bakery they are awesome. That is why today we bring you a very easy and incredible tasty recipe, with our bio products as main ingredient. There we go.

Ingredients:

  • 150 g butter
  • 75 g chocolate fondant for desserts (50% cocoa)
  • 75 g peeled eco nuts
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 Cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 4 bananas

Utensils:

  • Cake mould
  • Bowl
  • Oven grate
  • Mixer / Blender / Thermomix

Time: 1 hora

How to make it?

Step 1 – Getting the mould ready

The first thing that we are going to do is preheat the oven at 180º and grease the cake mould with butter. Keep it for later.

Step 2 – Chocolate time

Put in the blender 75 g of chocolate fondant for desserts. Mix it for about 10 seconds and place it in a bowl for a later use.

Step 3 – Our product goes on stage

Add 75 g of peeled nuts to the mixer and chop them for 10 seconds. Then put them in the same bowl where the mixed chocolate is waiting. Nuts in our case processed in a natural way, taken from the land to the table using products like unrefined salt.

Step 4 – The secret of the mix

Now let’s put in the blender (or whatever you have at hand) 150 g of butter room temperature, 150 g of sugar and 3 eggs. Mix all this treasures during 20 seconds.

Step 5 – The other protagonist: bananas

Add to the previous mix 150 g of cake flour, a teaspoon of baking powder a pinch of salt and 4 chopped bananas. Be careful with the bananas specially if they are big. Maybe you will need only 2 o 3 bananas instead of 4, to your own taste. This will influence the final texture of the sponge.

After this, add what you had previously reserved (chocolate fondant and nuts). Once you have everything ready, mix in the mixer at medium speed for 15 seconds. Pour the mixture in to the mould scraping out everything from the mixer with a wooden spoon.

Step 6 – Make the mixture nice and to the oven

So we pour the mixture in the sponge mould very carefully flattening the upper side. Bake at 180º for 40 minutes.

Do you see how easy? It looks so tasty!

In the next days we will show you other kind of desserts in which including our ecological nuts may be an ideal surprise for your guests.
